EPSG Council 1977, Amsterdam

 

In fact the Council was elected in 1977 and met in Jerusalem (Israel) during the International Symposium on the Pineal Gland November14-17, 1977. It was here decided to have the first official meeting in Amsterdam during the first meeting of the newly formed European Pineal Study Group)

In 1990, the general assembly decided that all former Presidents would become automatically special advisors to the council

 

Considering the success of the group and the development of research in this field, the General assembly of the EPSG decided that the group should evolve into a Society “The European Pineal Society”

In October 2000 after a postal ballot, The European Pineal Society was renamed “European Pineal and Biological Rhythms Society”. This development was more than a change of name. It reflects the fact that the scope and the activities of our society had become much broader. From a corner in 1977 we had integrated into the mainstream of biology and medicine
